Summary of Job Description:

Manage all daily activities of entire housekeeping department; including checking, monitoring, and maintaining Spearfish Canyon Resorts standard of cleanliness of all rooms and bathrooms (public or private).

Responsibilities:

· Maintain professional, calm, and organized appearance and demeanor reflective of the business image. Ensure that housekeeping staff are obeying the same expectations.

· Encourage and support staff to be autonomous, use good judgement, and common sense.

· Hire, fire, develop and train new and existing housekeeping staff on new programs, company initiatives, policies, and procedures to ensure maximum productivity and optimum customer service.

· Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.

· Help create and foster a positive, productive, respectful, and inclusive team environment by working with other members of the Management Team.

· Arrive to work on time, when scheduled, use work time productively, and ensure that your department is doing the same.

· · Help team members with laundry or housekeeping, as needed.

· Be aware and checking for any changes to departures, stay-overs, or arrivals.

· · Maintain proper safety techniques for team members and guests.

· Maintain inventory and order supplies when needed.

· Monitor and maintain staff hours and breaks.

· Complete knowledge of all company procedures.

· Must cover, or find a cover, for any shift that has called in.

Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Deep in the heart of one of the most breathtaking, beautiful canyons in the world, nestled alongside lofty pines and spectacular cliffs, you will find Spearfish Canyon Lodge. Built and decorated in the style of the old lodges of the West, you can let nature take over and open your mind to focus on either business or pleasure. The outside world is as near or far as you need it to be. Spearfish Canyon Lodge is a 57 room lodge consisted with Premier rooms and many suites, full service lounge, and great room featuring a 40’ stone fireplace. The property also consists of a full service restaurant across the street name the Latchstring Restaurant. We are busy throughout the year with many corporate & group outings, bus tours, and many weddings. Our property also features Spearfish Canyon Adventures where we rent snowmobiles, UTV’s, SlingShots, fishing equipment, snowshoes, and much more.
